He gave us lots of information on the coach trip to the train station at Montserrat, and then kept us updated with the audio guide/headphones up until the priority access to the Black Madonna, and then we had plenty of time to explore the Monastery and the shops below before catching the coach back to Barcelona. Unfortunately the funicula to the monastery was not operating this day, so we travelled to the Monastery by the rack railway, which was still spectacular. The tour did not include the funicular to Sant Joan higher up the mountain, and we would not have had time as our 2pm…”
